The Centre of Excellence for Testing & Research of Autonomous Vehicles – NTU (CETRAN) was opened in 2017 by Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (NTU Singapore), the Land Transport Authority (LTA) and JTC.

CETRAN’s mission is to enable the safe and effective rollout of Autonomous Vehicles (AVs) providing a service in Singapore. Our activities include:

• Determining the requirements for the safe, secure, and effective operation of AVs.
• Developing the standards, and regulatory processes to enable AV deployments on public roads.
• Conducting assessments on AVs.
• Providing expertise on AV assessment (training and advisory services)
• Operating a test centre which is available for use by developers.
• Public engagement.
